Plan on your first session lasting about an hour and fifteen minutes. This will allow time for a mini consultation covering any health concerns or ailments and also what you hope to accomplish through your Pilates training. Your session will be tailor made to your specific needs.
You can expect a total body workout from your private session, focusing on core strengthening, muscle toning and conditioning, and increased flexibility. The workout will include the traditional Pilates exercises as well as many variations. Props such as the magic circle, free weights, stretch bands and yoga blocks can also be incorporated. Your session can take place in your home or office, my home, or anywhere else that is convenient for you. If you and a few friends want to set up a class, I rent studio space at Ripley Grier or Chelsea Studios.
